SURF MASTERS (2009)
A tent, two flash heads, a camera, breaking waves in the background and surfers like fishes just taken out of the water. The idea was to try and catch the ephemeral spark that enlighten the eyes when the mind is still out at sea thinking of the last waves.
Pictures were shot during a surf masters competition in Bidart, France. I was just standing on the beach asking surfers who were coming out of the water just after their contest to come with me for a few portraits...
